Where to stay on Nusa Lembongan?
Dream Beach Nusa Lembongan
Dream Beach is a small sandy beach framed by imposing cliffs from both sides and is located on the southern part of the island. A few hotels are located right on the beach, but the area is not as popular as other parts of the island because the waves here are very powerful, and the beach is only suitable for strong swimmers.
Mushroom Bay Nusa Lembongan
This area has the largest selection of Nusa Lembongan hotels and for that reason is one of the best place to stay in Nusa Lembongan. It is close to places such as Devil’s Tear Nusa Lembongan and Secret Beach Nusa Lembongan. From Mushroom Bay, you can take a snorkelling tour or engage in various water sports activities such as kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. Mushroom Beach is also great for a good range of bars and restaurants situated right on the seafront.
Jungut Batu Beach
Jungut Batu Beach and area is located on the north-western part of the island. It is the most extensive area on the island, with the longest and best beach in Nusa Lembongan. This part of the island has a great selection of Nusa Lembongan accommodation, from luxury beach resorts to budget bungalows. You can also find here a great selection of restaurants, including some fantastic healthy options. Check out the main road that runs along the beach for the best Nusa Lembongan nightlife. Bukit Hill
Bukit Hill is an up and coming area where you’ll find some luxury accommodation such as private Nusa Lembongan villas and Nusa Lembongan Airbnb’s. They are generally secluded and come with awesome views over the ocean.
Sandy Bay Nusa Lembongan
Sandy Bay Beach is only accessible through the properties that are built on its front. The sea here is also not very calm due to its proximity to Devil’s Tear. The cool part is that you can watch the show of waves crashing against the shore, but at the same time, the beach is not best for swimming. Sandy Bay is also home to the trendy and fun Sandy Bay Beach Club.
Lembongan Village
Lembongan Village is located on the south-eastern part of the island. This is the area where most local people live. This area has hardly any hotels, and it’s far away from the beaches.

Komodo Garden Nusa Lembongan
Location – Komodo Garden is situated in the Sandy Bay beach right by the Sandy Bay Beach Club.
Facilities – The hotel facilities include a spa with a selection of pampering treatments, a freshwater swimming pool and an onsite cafe. The resort can take care of transport and activity booking for its guests. Services such as laundry, doctor on call and babysitting are available on request and at extra charge.
Rooms – Stylish rooms are airy and provide lots of natural light through glass sliding doors. Adiwana D’Nusa Beach Club and Resort
Location – Adiwana D’nusa Resort is probably the best Nusa Lembongan resort. It is situated at the very end of the longest beach – Jungut Batu Beach and near Blue Corner. It is close to many good restaurants and beach bars located on the beach, and also it is close to Mangrove Forest Nusa Lembongan.
Facilities – The hotel features an outdoor pool and two restaurants where guests get a 10% discount on food. Some rooms come with a private pool and outdoor seating areas. All guest can enjoy a welcome drink or arrival, complimentary breakfast and daily afternoon tea. The hotel can organise various water sports activities on request, and guests have complimentary access to the gym and beach club. Adiwana D’Nusa is without a doubt a strong contender for the best hotel in Nusa Lembongan.
Rooms – Rooms are modern and are fitted with flat screen tv, safe box, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, iron, wardrobe and desk. Bathrooms are spacious and include complimentary toiletries, slippers and dressing gowns.
The Tamarind Resort Nusa Lembongan
Location – The Tamarind Resort perched on the hill in the area of Panorama Point, boasts some of the best views on the entire islands over Jungut Batu beach with the mighty Mt Agung on the backdrop.
Facilities – The Tamarind Resort boasts two outdoor pools, one of which come with a swim-up bar, an excellent spa with a range of pampering treatments and fine dining at the inhouse restaurant serving the finest Indonesian and Western cuisine. Guests can enjoy a fully equipped gym and can get involved in yoga and healthy cooking classes. They even can bring their own chef and personal trainer. Excellent breakfast, including various healthy options, is included in the room rate.

The Acala Shri Sedana – Airbnb Nusa Lembongan
Location – The Acala Shri Sedana is perched on a hill and overlooking the turquoise waters between Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan.
Facilities – The hotel boasts an infinity pool overlooking the ocean and an in house restaurant. The property organises a complimentary shuttle service to the nearby attractions, and guests can enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast. The Acala Shri Sedana is one of the best hotels Nusa Lembongan.
Rooms – Rooms are en suite and come equipped with air conditioning, a kettle, and some have balconies and ocean views.
Aqua Nusa Lembongan – Luxury Villas
Location – Aqua Nusa Property is located on the hill in Jungut Batu Village. The southern part of Jungut Batu beach is accessible within a few minutes walk. The area is excellent for a good selection of restaurants and water sports available on the beach.
Facilities – Guests can enjoy complimentary access to Ohana’s beach lounge, where they can get on a shuttle bus. The hotel can arrange various activities such as helicopter adventures and snorkelling tours. Breakfast is not included.

Location – The hotel is located within 5 minutes walk from Jungut Batu Beach and all its attractions.
Facilities – Isla Indah offers an excellent selection of daily yoga classes. There is also a bicycle rental, ticket booking facility and laundry. The onsite restaurant serves a selection of western and Indonesian dishes, including some excellent healthy options. Surf lessons with “Monkey Surfing School” and a freediving course with “One Breath Lembongan” can also be booked here.
Rooms – Isla Indha has a selection of free-standing bungalows set in a lush garden. Each bungalow is fully air-conditioned and comes with an en suite bathroom and complimentary toiletries.
Sunset Garden Nusa Lembongan
Location – Sunset Garden Hotel is situated a few minutes walk to Sandy Bay Beach Club, a range of grocery shops, and a 20 minutes walk to Mushroom Bay Beach, where there is a good selection of beach bars and restaurants.
Facilities – Guests at Sunset Garden have access to an outdoor pool situated in a well-kept garden with plenty of loungers. There is an onsite restaurant and bar as well as spa facilities. The property staff runs a ticketing service and can arrange various activities and tours for its guests. There are also laundry and ironing facilities. Breakfast is included in the room rate.

Tigerlillys Nusa Lembongan
Location – Tigerlily Nusa Lembongan is located in the convenient area of Jungut Batu, just off the main road running along the beach with all the best bars and restaurants. Also, the beach can be reached within a few minutes walk.
Facilities – Hotel facilities include an outdoor pool with sun loungers surrounded by a garden and an in-house restaurant serving seasonal dishes made out of fresh produce from Bali, organic when possible. The hotel is committed to eco-friendly initiative; therefore, no palm oil is used, and plastic is banned throughout the property. Tigerlily is one of the best hotel in Nusa Lembongan.
Rooms – the property offers a selection of downstairs and upstairs rooms and two suites in a secluded part of the property featuring an upstairs bedroom and an extensive lounging area downstairs. Le Pirate Nusa Lembongan – Best Budget Accommodation Nusa Ceningan
Location – La Pirate is actually located in the southwestern part of Nusa Ceningan, the smaller sister of Lembongan Island, accessible through the yellow bridge and only around 15 minutes scooter from Mushroom Bay Beach. Its proximity makes it a viable option to stay while visiting Nusa Lembongan.
Facilities – The hotel boasts a beachfront location with stunning views of the crystal turquoise waters. Guests can enjoy an infinity pool and in house restaurant serving a selection of local delicatessen as well as international favourites. How To Get To Nusa Lembongan
The best way to get to Nusa Lembongan is to buy a ticket for a speed boat. Various companies operate between Bali and Nusa Islands, but the prices and services offered are pretty similar.
Boat from Bali to Nusa Lembongan
Bali to Nusa Lembongan trip takes about 45 minutes on a speed boat. There are also public, larger, much slower vessels that go between the two islands, but unless you’re coming with a car, there is no need to take them.
Sanur to Nusa Lembongan Route
The speed boats leave from Sanur Ferry Port and go to Toya Pakeh Port on Nusa Penida. Depending on the service and tide schedule, the ship will then go from Nusa Penida to Nusa Lembongan. You will have to change to a smaller boat that will take you to your final destination is the yellow bridge port of Nusa Lembongan.

Weather in Nusa Lembongan
Nusa Lembongan has a hot and humid climate with temperature averages in its high twenties all year round. There are mainly two seasons – dry from April/ May to October and wet From October to April.
Best restaurants Nusa Lembongan
Some of the best restaurants in Nusa Lembongan are situated either in the Mushroom Bay area or along Jungut Batu Beach and its main road. Here are my 3 favourites:
Lemongrass Nusa Lembongan – Lemongrass Bar and Restaurant is situated on the main road that runs through Jungut Batu along the beach. It offers an extensive menu with quality international dishes as well as local favourites. It’s an excellent choice for an evening meal that can be enjoyed listening to a live band.
Ginger and Jamu – offers a healthy option at fair prices. It is situated right on Jungut Batu Beach. Try their mouth-watering fish tacos followed by vegan ice cream for an ultimate indulgence.
Bali Eco Delhi is another excellent healthy option café situated right in Jungut Batu area, on the main road. Bali Eco Delhi is particularly good for breakfast or lunch. Try their scrumptious berry smoothie bowl!
Scooter rental Nusa Lembongan
The best way to go round the island is to hire a scooter. You can prearrange a scooter with your accommodation provider or hire one from the vendors by the ferry port (Yellow Bridge area). Expect to pay between 50-70k IDR per day ($3.4-$5.8 or £2.5-£3.5).
ATM Nusa Lembongan
There are a few places in Nusa Lembongan to withdraw cash. One of them is an atm in Mushroom Bay, next to the shop, just before the entrance to the beach and on the long road parallel to the best beach in Nusa Lembongan – Jungut Batu Beach. Cash is king on the island, and you will be expected to pay for most things using cash. I recommend having some before you arrive on the island.
