It competes with Sony and Canon more expensive lenses with similar specs, and in many areas, Sigma outperforms the branded lenses!
If you’re looking for your next best Sony a7c lens that is affordable and can shoot landscapes, portraits and even macro with excellent quality, look no further!
FULL REVIEW
Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 from the ART line is the absolute must-have lens. It’s my preferred lens for shooting travel content, and I even use it for portraits.
Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 ART takes still images with superb quality. The sharpness and contrast are strong throughout the entire focal range, even when shooting wide open. This allows for detailed wide-angle landscape shots.
In addition, this Sigma lens is extremely versatile, which means you are not only able to shoot landscapes, but you can also use this lens for capturing beautiful portraits with a bokeh effect, thanks to the high aperture that goes down up to F/2.8
Another great feature of this lens is its silent and fast autofocus. The autofocus is almost 100% accurate, which allows the photographer to capture moving subjects without any delay. This can be useful in photographing children, moving animals or city life.
Sigma is also equipped with in-built image stabilisation, which comes in handy when shooting in low light with the need for higher ISO settings or a slower shutter speed. This function makes Sigma a great-performing low-light lens.
Sigma 24-70mm F/2.8 ART is prone to create barrel distortion and vignetting (dark edges). However, these imperfections can easily be removed in editing software such as Lightroom.
The build and handling of the lens feel and look professional. The body weighting 830g is a little large in comparison to a similar Tamron lens (but smaller than a Sony-branded lens with the same specs).
All in all, Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 ART is the best Sigma lenses for Sony full frame cameras. Its versatility, stellar quality and superb autofocus make this all-around lens one of the best lenses for Sony a7c body and the best travel lens for Sony a7c, with which you’ll be able to shoot anything!

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
There is little not to like about this superb lens. Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 is ideal for all sorts of photos – from landscape to portrait, this lens takes quality images at a super affordable price. If you’re on a budget, this is one of the best Tamron Sony FE lenses!
FULL REVIEW
Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 produces images of outstanding quality with superb contrast even when zoomed in to the maximum.
The usual lens distortions such as ghosting, chromatic aberration and flare are kept to a minimum thanks to the quality glass this lens is made of. Tamron is prone to some colour fringing and vignetting in the corners of the frame, but these can easily be removed in the in-camera menu or editing software such as Lightroom.
Unlike its competitor Sony-own lens FE 28-70mm F/3.5-5.6, this Tamron lens provides a constant aperture throughout the entire zoom range. This is an excellent feature that allows for more versatile use, for example, in portrait photography. With this lens, you will be able to create a beautifully defocused background on portraits as well as shoot in low light situations, thanks to the fast aperture.
Fast aperture combined with excellent zoom – ranging from wide-angle to short telephoto makes this lens a great allrounder that won’t break the bank.
Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 is also equipped with excellent autofocus – RXD – (rapid extra-silent stepping drive) that is super silent and impressively accurate, allowing you to capture those special moments without fail – whether you’re a travel, nature or city photographer.
Another excellent spec of this lens is its lightweight body of only 550g, considerably lighter than the Sigma lens reviewed above, which makes it the perfect match with the super-compact Sony a7c.
Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 is also fully weather-sealed, ideal for taking it out and about.
One of the minor downsides of this lens is the lack of in-body image stabilisation, which is no issue thanks to the Sony a7c specs – 5-axis IBIS system.
Overall, Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 is an excellent cheap lens for Sony a7 range. If you’re looking for a versatile lens that can take quality landscape photos and portraits at a great price – you can’t go wrong with Tamron.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
Sony FE 16-35mm F/2.8 GM is the best lens amongst Sony wide lenses range with superb quality, sharp images and a constant fast aperture. The only drawback is its high price, so if you’re a budget-conscious buyer, skip to the next section, where I’m reviewing an excellent budget alternative – Sigma 14-24mm F/2.8 DG DN Art.
FULL REVIEW
Sony FE 16-35mm F/2.8 GM is a strong performer in terms of image quality, taking stellar sharp photos with excellent contrast even when shooting wide open.
This top Sony lens is equipped with a fast aperture of F/2.8, constant throughout the entire zoom range. Fast aperture makes this lens an excellent choice for shooting in low light, such as churches, museums and home shots.
Sony FE 16-35mm F/2.8 is also a good lens for the bokeh effect, which is a smooth and defocused background.
Sony FE 16-35mm F/2.8 GM is also equipped with super fast and virtually silent autofocus, a feature that is extremely handy when shooting moving objects, for example, city life or shooting those beautiful dress flips.
This lens is one of the Sony G master lenses that comes with a premium build resulting in minimum lens distortions (vignetting, ghosting, colour fringing and flare). The lens is prone to create images that are a little soft in the corners of the frame when shooting at 35mm, but the overall image quality is strong.
Sony FE 16-35mm F/2.8 GM looks and feels like a premium lens. It is fully weather-sealed and comes with a hood and a case, as well as a fully customisable focus hold button.
On the downside, it weighs 680g which is a little heavy and also a tad bulky. It also lacks in-built image stabilisation, but this is not a problem when paired with Sony a7c.
Altogether, Sony FE 16-35mm F/2.8 GM is an excellent choice out of the wide-angle Sony GM lenses, producing stellar sharp images at all zoom ranges with the ability to create a beautiful bokeh effect. It is not the cheapest lens out there, but its price tag is proportionate to its superb performance.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
Sigma 14-24mm F/2.8 DG DN Art is an excellent budget option to the earlier mentioned Sony16-35mm F/2.8 lens. With an ultra wide-angle view, quality built and high-resolution images.
FULL REVIEW
This is one of the best wide-angle Sigma Sony FE lenses, compatible with Sony a7c full-frame sensor. It takes stellar sharp images within the whole zoom range.
It comes with super fast and accurate autofocus that will enable you to capture special moments without fail. It is worth noting, however, that its autofocus is not entirely silent.
With an aperture of f/2.8, this lens can bring attention to the photographed subject by defocusing the background and creating a beautiful bokeh effect.
Fast aperture also means that this lens is a great performer at low light photography such as at night or indoors, allowing for shooting with lower ISO settings. (Using high ISO often results in grainy pictures).
This Sigma wide angle lens is ideal for city and architecture photography. In tight spaces, when it’s impossible to move too far back to capture, for example, a large building, this lens will bring a lot more to the frame, pushing the background considerably away.
This kind of angle is also helpful for real estate photography, making spaces appear more prominent. Sigma 14-24mm F/2.8 DG DN Art is also an excellent choice for shooting various landscapes and skylines.
Sigma 14-24mm F/2.8 DG DN Art produces minimal lens distortion that can be corrected in standard editing software such as Lightroom.
It also has a quality build being completely weather-sealed. It comes with a focus ring that is pleasant and smooth to use and allows for some precise adjustments. Another excellent feature of this lens is the autofocus lock button, an upgrade to the previous lens model. The button can be customised in the camera menu, and it’s located on the side of the barrel.
The much more affordable price tag of this Sigma vs Sony lens comes at the cost of a heavier lens body ( 100g more than the Sony FE 16-35 F/2.8) and a lack of optical image stabilisation which shouldn’t be a big deal when paired with Sony a7c that comes with the 5-axis IBIS system.
Altogether, Sigma 14-24mm F/2.8 is a superb budget alternative to an equivalent Sony lens, an excellent choice for shooting landscapes, cities, architecture and real estate.

FULL REVIEW
With a focal range of 17-28mm, you’ll be able to shoot wide-angle landscapes and portraits with people standing further away at family gatherings, weddings, city scenes and indoor shots, for example, for real estate.
As for the image quality, this Tamron lens offers stellar sharpness in the centre of the frame at all focal lengths with visible softer edges when shooting with higher focal lengths.
Tamron 17-28mm comes with a wide aperture of F/2.8, which allows this lens to achieve good performance in low light and create an attractive bokeh effect (blurry background).
If you’re looking to shoot moving objects, you’ll be pleased to know that Tamron is also equipped with fast and accurate autofocus that works silently to capture the movement.
Weighing only 420g, this Tamron is an ideal compact lens for Sony a7c, fitting its small body effortlessly. It offers a solid build for the price, and it’s moisture-resistant.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
Sony 55mm f/1.8 is a superb Sony landscape lens with excellent and versatile focal length and an extremely light and compact body. All these features make this lens one of the best Sony travel lenses, perfect for the small a7c body and one of the best Sony FE prime lenses for landscapes.
FULL REVIEW
Sony 55mm F/1.8 comes with a focal length equivalent to what the human eyes see, which makes this prime lens versatile enough for use in landscape and city photography as well as casual portraits and other close-ups.
This Sony lens takes razor-sharp images corner to corner throughout an entire aperture range, in particular at higher F/stop settings.
It is also one of the best Sony autofocus lenses that can capture moving objects fast and accurately. The focus can also be easily adjusted manually through the smooth focus ring on the lens barrel.
The fast aperture of F/1.8 allows for taking sharp images at low light with lower ISO settings or a faster shutter speed. If you’re looking for the best Sony lenses to shoot a city at night, look no further. And if you’re an enthusiast of a nice bokeh effect, this lens will do that too for you, thanks to the maximum fast aperture that will create a narrow depth of field with ease.
Weighing just under 300g, Sony 55mm f/1.8 is exceptionally light and portable, which makes it the best compact lens for Sony a7c – perfect for adventures.
It is also fully weather-sealed. A minor drawback of this lens is that it does not come with optical image stabilisation, but that should not be a deal-breaker because the Sony a7c already comes with the Sony IBIS system (In-body image stabilisation).
It is worth noting that this lens is by no means a budget choice. If you’re interested in this focal length, a more budget-friendly option is Sony 50mm f/1.8. However, this option comes with a sacrifice on image sharpness and quality of the physical build.
Altogether, Sony 55mm f/1.8 is one of the best Sony cameras lenses for landscape as well as casual portraits, close-ups and architecture photography. It has a premium build and produces the sharpest images seen at this focal length, all for not the cheapest but a reasonable price tag. It is also one of the best compact lenses for Sony a7c, so keep this lens in mind if a light kit is important for you.

This lens is an ultimate champion, amongst Sony mirrorless lenses, in creating a super creamy bokeh effect (blurred background).
It also comes with extremely precise and fast autofocus, excellent for capturing moving subjects, whether it’s wildlife or a fashion shoot.
Shooting with a 135mm focal length requires moving away from the photographed subject quite a substantial distance but at the same time can create a spectacular ‘tunnel vision‘ effect separating the foreground nicely from the background.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
Sony FE 85mm F1.8 is one of the best budget choices for portraits out of the cheap Sony lenses for a7 c. It is ideal for shooting portraits with a beautifully blurred background and an excellent quality lens that won’t break the bank.
FULL REVIEW
Sony FE 85mm F1.8 is ideal for shooting portraits of people, daily life on travels, fashion shoots, and family portraits. And thanks to its versatile focal length, you can also shoot landscape and some casual close-ups.
The focal length of 85mm is the perfect angle of view for shooting portraits, and the lens’ fast aperture facilitates creating an attractive bokeh effect thanks to the narrow depth of field settings. Portrait photography is all about focusing on the person or subject, and a blurry background perfectly eliminates the distraction.
The maximum fast aperture of F/1.8 also means great performance in low light. This lens is one of the best Sony FE lenses for shooting at sunset, at indoor events and at home. This prime lens gathers way more light than the same focal length zoom lenses, allowing you to shoot with lower ISO settings resulting in sharper images. This lens is also fantastic at freezing objects in motion.
*It is worth noting that shooting on a zoom lens at 85mm focal length is possible only at a maximum aperture of F/2.8. And, if you’re interested in an even faster aperture at this focal length and are willing to pay double, consider Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG DN ART lens.
Sony FE 85mm F1.8 generally takes quality images with a superb sharpness corner to corner at an aperture of F/2.8.
Moreover, Sony FE 85mm F1.8 boasts a super compact and lightweight body, excellent for taking it on travels and nature encounters, and it has a quality build.
The main drawback of the lens is that it lacks an image stabilisation system. However, as mentioned earlier, this should not be a major issue when paired with the Sony a7c lens mount, thanks to its excellent IBIS system.
Overall, Sony FE 85mm F1.8 is one of the best buy Sony lenses out there! If you’re looking for a fantastic entry-level portrait lens, this is one of the better cheap Sony FE lenses.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
If you’re looking for more creative freedom with zooming in and out on the subject than a standard all-rounder lens allows for, consider purchasing a zoom lens. Sony FE 24-105mm F4 is a great zoom lens for Sony a7 series cameras due to its compact body.
FULL REVIEW
A 24-105mm zoom range makes this lens a versatile tool for the everyday shooting of landscapes, portraits, and some causal macros and close-ups.
*If you don’t mind a much heavier body, you may even want to go with Sony FE 24-240mm with a slightly reduced optical quality and portability. Get the broader zoom range lens only if you know you won’t mind carrying extra weight in your camera gear.
Sony FE 24-105mm F4 takes quality images with impeccable sharpness when shooting in the middle of the aperture range but throughout the entire zoom range, even at 105mm.
When shooting at the fastest aperture of F/4, the frame edges are a little soft. The lens is prone to some visible lens distortion, such as vignetting (which means dark edges of the frame). However, vignetting doesn’t occur when shooting Jpegs and can be easily corrected in Lightroom on all RAW images.
Sony FE 24-105mm F4 is relatively light and portable in comparison with other similar Sony a7 zoom lenses. The lens comes fully weather-sealed and is equipped with a hood. It also comes with premium rubberised rings for manually adjusting autofocus and zoom.
All in all, Sony FE 24-105mm F4 is one of the best Sony full-frame lenses with a zoom capability that boasts a compact body and excellent image quality.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
This is a do-it-all super-zoom lens that combines features of a telephoto lens, wide-angle and everyday lens, all in one compact and light body! This Tamron lens may be your best lens Sony a7c compatible with its quality and extremely affordable price tag!
FULL REVIEW
If you’re not a fan of carrying around a bulky backpack with a camera kit, this Tamron may just be your a7c best lens pick! It comes with a super wide focal range of 28-200mm, which will allow you to shoot almost anything – from wide-angle landscapes to subjects in distances requiring a telephoto capability.
Tamron 28-200mm creates images of great quality, very sharp at the centre of the frame at all focal lengths. It also has the ability to create a fancy bokeh effect (blurry or defocused background).
Tamron comes with a variable aperture, which is a tradeoff for its affordable price tag and compact & light body. You will be able to shoot at its highest aperture of F/2.8 up to 30mm.
As mentioned earlier, this Tamron is one of the best compact lenses for Sony a7c, weighing only 575g, which is less than the Sony 24-105mm reviewed above and 255g less than my all-time favourite Sigma 24-70mm.
Tamron 28-200mm lacks image stabilisation, but luckily Sony a7c compensate for that with its own inbuilt system.
All in all, Tamron 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 is one of the most affordable super-zoom a7c best lenses that will give you a lot of freedom for shooting without having to change lenses.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
I have already mentioned and reviewed Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 ART as the best all-rounder lens, but I also believe it is also the best video lens for Sony a7 series cameras. It happens to be my lens of choice for most of my travel photography and projects for clients.
FULL REVIEW
Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 ART lens is a solid choice for an all-in-one lens for shooting videos and is equally good if not better than any equivalent Sony lenses video – suitable. With this focal length, this Sigma lens is extremely versatile and can be used for shooting landscapes, people, close-ups and vlogs.
Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 ART takes razor-sharp videos at 4k resolution with up to 120 frames per second. It boasts fast and accurate autofocus, which is virtually silent, something that comes in handy when shooting videos.
The best lenses Sony a7 series for video come with in-built image stabilisation, so does this Sigma lens. In-built image stabilisation will correct those handshakes when shooting at higher ISO in low light or with a slower shutter speed, enhancing the built-in Sony camera stabilisation (IBIS).
Moreover, Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 ART has a fast maximum aperture of F/2.8 that will enable you to create a beautiful bokeh effect on portraits and vlogs. This lens is also a fantastic performer in low light situations, and the fixed f/2.8 aperture will allow you to keep the exposure level of your video constant while zooming in and out on subjects.
Sigma 24-70mm looks and feels professional. It’s made to last, and it comes with a complete weather-proofing system. The only downside of this lens is that it is a little large in comparison to the equivalent Tamron lens SP 28-75mm, which is also an excellent pick for videos.
Overall, you can’t go wrong with this superb Sigma lens that competes with top Sony lenses if you can live with its rather large body.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
Sony 28mm F/2.0 is a superb vlog lens with fast autofocus and a compact body, all for a great bang for your buck!
FULL REVIEW
Costing well below the average price of any other Sony FE mount lenses, Sony 28mm F/2.0 is one of the best a7 Sony lenses for all beginner videographers and YouTubers.
With a focal length of 28mm, you will be able to record yourself from a hand or gimble distance with ease. Also, with a maximum aperture of f/2.0, this lens will create a lovely bokeh effect to draw attention to the subject further. Sony 28mm F/2.0 takes sharp photos and can record high-quality videos, especially in mid-range aperture settings. At the highest aperture is gives a visible distortion of soft edges.
Weighing only 200g, this Sony lens is one of the smallest and lightest lenses on the market, and it will pair fantastically with the small Sony a7c weight. Despite its tinny size, the lens is fully weather-sealed, which makes it a perfect, if not the best, Sony travel lens. It comes with a physical focus ring that is powered electronically but easy to use.
The lens lacks optical image stabilisation, but again this is not an issue when paired with Sony a7c. Also, if you’re serious about vlogging, you probably want to get a gimbal anyway, which will make recording yourself way easier and smooth the handshake.
With a minimum focus distance of 0.29m, it can’t really be used as a macro lens. There are, however, some adapters that the lens can be paired with to expand its functionality.
Altogether, Sony 28mm F/2.0 is an excellent choice for travel vlogging when you’re just starting out and looking for an affordable lens with a fast aperture and a portable body.

If you’re looking for the best lens for Sony a7c video taking that will produce professional-looking stellar sharp clips and images thanks to it wide aperture and excellent focus, this is it!
FULL REVIEW
With a fixed focal length of 55mm, which is equivalent to what human eyes see, this lens is incredibly versatile. You can use it for landscape, full or half-body portraits, product shoots, and it also makes a fantastic Sony a7c street photography lens.
Thanks to its max aperture of F/1.8, this lens performs incredibly well in low-light shooting, both photos and videos, such as sunset, sunrise or indoors. It also has the ability to create a beautifully smooth bokeh effect on portraits, wildlife and product photos.
Sony 55mm F1.8 is the sharpest and fastest lens for Sony a7c out there thanks to its fast & accurate premium autofocus, which is super important in taking videos.
This lens only weighs 281g, which is a perfect match with the compact body of the Sony a7c. If you’re looking for a travel lens that won’t be a burden, Sony 55mm F1.8 is ideal. It is also incredibly well build and comes with full weather sealing.
The main reasons why you wouldn’t buy this lens are the high but fair price and lack of image stabilisation.
Overall, Sony 55mm F/1.8 is one of the Sony a7c best lenses for a focal length equivalent to the human eye. It boasts premium optical quality, stellar autofocus and a super portable body, ideal for taking professionally-looking videos and photos.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
Sony 70-200mm F2.8 is a professional telephoto lens with premium features and unmatched performance quality. If you’re willing to invest in this lens, it won’t disappoint you.
FULL REVIEW
Sony 70-200mm F2.8 comes with a 70-200mm focal range, which fits in the short-mid-telephoto range. This focal range is perfect for travel photography, wildlife and photographing sports events.
This lens can also be used for landscape photography, especially if the subject is at a far distance and portraits and photos of city life or local people live on your travels.
Sony 70-200mm F2.8 is a strong performer at low light thanks to its fast maximum aperture of F/2.8. If you’re looking for a telephoto lens that will be perfect for shooting indoors and in the evenings, look no further. The lens will gather plenty of light on its sensor, allowing for shooting with lower ISO settings. And the outcome of that is sharper images with less noise captured even at very low light.
Another benefit of the fast aperture is creating a shallow depth of field with attractive bokeh (defocused background) when taking portraits and photographing animals at a medium distance.
Sony 70-200mm F2.8 also boasts fast and super accurate autofocus, which assists in taking razor-sharp steals from corner to corner of the frame and even when shooting wide open.
It is equipped with optical image stabilisation and, coupled with the fantastic Sony a7c camera, can create images of superb resolution, including in low light situations.
The downsides of this lens are its heavy and bulky body and its hefty price tag.
All in all, Sony 70-200mm F2.8 is hands down one of the best Sony wildlife lenses and the best telephoto lens for Sony a7c, excellent for professionals and serious nature photography enthusiasts. However, if this lens is beyond your budget, check out the cheaper alternative reviewed in the next section.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
As promised in the previous section, Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 is an excellent budget alternative telephoto lens to the pricey Sony FE 70-200mm F2.8.
FULL REVIEW
Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 comes with substantial cost savings, and it doesn’t disappoint on the performance quality side.
This Tamron lens captures stellar sharp images at all focal lengths, even when shooting wide open at F/2.8.
The lens is prone to ghosting, flares, and chromatic aberration, typical of this type of lens. All lens distortions, however, can be corrected in post-production editing software such as Lightroom.
Tamron 70-180 F.28 can take images with a decent amount of bokeh for beautiful portraits and close-ups with defocused backgrounds.
Thanks to the fast maximum aperture, Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 performs well in low-light photography, such as indoor venues, museums, churches and cities at night. It allows you to use lower ISO settings, resulting in less noise on the photos that appear sharper.
Tamron also boasts fast and accurate autofocus that further enhances its performance.
Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 can focus as close as 0.27m to the subject, meaning you can use this lens for some casual macro shots for 1:2 life-size images too.
It lacks optical image stabilisation, but as mentioned earlier, this is not a big deal since the Sony a7c comes with the fantastic 5-axis IBIS system.
If you’re looking for a telephoto lens that is light and portable as much as it is possible, Tamron won’t disappoint. It weighs 810g which is relatively light for a telephoto lens with a bright aperture.
Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 is also built extremely well, including weatherproofing, which comes in handy for shooting out and about.
*It is worth noting that similar competitors’ lenses come at 70-200mm – (20mm more than the Tamron lens). However, the Tamron lens is much more compact and suitable for travelling thanks to reducing focal length range.
Overall, Tamron is an excellent telephoto lens with a portable body and a great bang for your buck compared to other telephoto Sony a7 compatible lenses.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
This Sony 70-300mm is the perfect addition to your everyday lens, such as Sigma 28-70mm. It comes at a very affordable price tag and offers good quality images.
FULL REVIEW
Sony 70-300mm offers an excellent focal length range for shooting landscapes, portraits, wildlife at a distance and outdoor sports events – the use is ample. This lens can really extend the shooting ability of your primary lens.
The lens can produce fairly good image quality with perfect sharpness in the centre of the frame. However, its slow aperture of f/4.8 to 5.6 means this lens is not the strongest performer at low-light photography.
But, even with a slow/narrow aperture, it is still able to produce a nicely blurred background – bokeh effect.
It also comes with in-body image stabilisation, which complements Sony’s a7c own system improving the image and video quality.
For a super-zoom capability, this lens has a compact and light body of 854g, which is ideal for a travel lens.
Overall, this lens is for you if you’re looking for a wide zoom range and telephoto capability at a low cost and in a compact body and can live without top sharpness and low performance in dim lighting.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
This lens is for you if you’re looking for a long telephoto length that is affordable but does not compromise on image quality.
FULL REVIEW
This Sigma lens comes with a wide telephoto focal range – of 100-400mm, which is ideal for shooting wildlife that is far away, such as small birds on trees. It is also the perfect lens to take with you on a safari as well as photographing landscapes and sporting events, and people at a distance when you don’t want to get closer.
Thanks to its focal length, this lens can create a bokeh effect and background compression, which will make it look bigger and closer to the photographed subject.
It also has an excellent fact and accurate autofocus that works really well at freezing moving objects under good light conditions.
However, due to its narrow maximum aperture (it only goes down to f/5.6), this lens does not perform well at low light in terms of focusing and sharpness. But, it comes with image stabilisation, and that feature aids in enhancing the sharpness of images, including low-light scenarios.
In short, this Sigma is one of the most affordable super telephoto Sony alpha 7c lenses that produces quality images of subjects at a distance.

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
I have already reviewed Sony G-Master Lens 24 mm F1.4 earlier as the best wide-angle prime lens, an excellent lens for Instagram photography. This fantastic and premium lens also happens to be ideal for astrophotography.
FULL REVIEW
Sony G-Master 24 mm F1.4 produces unbeatable image quality, which is razor-sharp edge to edge.

Zeiss Batis 25mm F2 – Lightest & Affordable Sony Astrophotography Lens

Weight: 335g (11.8 oz.) |
Size: 81 x 92mm (3.1 x 3.6 in.) |

WHY CHOOSE THIS LENS?
Zeiss Batis 25mm F2 is one of the budget Sony Zeiss lenses, excellent for shooting a night sky.
FULL REVIEW
25mm wide-angle view works well with the low light of the night sky. With F2 maximum aperture, considerable light is gathered in the camera sensor, allowing for a stunning low-light shot. This lens can also be used for shooting indoors. Its wide aperture will allow for lower ISO settings and faster shutter speed, producing sharper images with less noise.
The image sharpness doesn’t match the quality of Sony 24mm f/1.4, but this sacrifice comes with a substantially lower price tag. However, the image resolution is still very good, with some soft edges while shooting wide open at F2. The lens is also prone to lens distortions such as chromatic aberration and vignetting, which means darker corners.
At this focal length, you can also use Zeiss Batis 25mm F2 for some wide-angle portrait shots. At the maximum aperture of f/2, you will be able to achieve a thin layer of bokeh background.
Zeiss Batis 25mm F2 has been made exceptionally well from durable materials that are also super light. This lens weighs just over 300g and is fully weather-sealed. If you’re looking for a wide-angle, astro lens that won’t weigh you down, look no further.
Overall, Zeiss Batis 25mm F2 is a good choice for astrophotography. It is extremely light and portable, which makes it super travel-friendly. It produces decently sharp images, and its biggest drawbacks are lens distortion, especially vignetting, which may not be ideal for astrophotography.
